Tiernay West stalked through the forest, silent as the great cats of the African plains, deadly as the fabled royal assassins of Arakistan. With the eyes that had gotten her dubbed "Little Eagle," she scanned the verdant undergrowth, searching for the treasure hidden within.

Why settle for ordinary life when there are mountains to climb, seas to sail, deserts to cross, and globes to circumnavigate? At least, that's what I say. My Mom, my ballet teacher, even some of the kids at school (who really ought to know better) have other ideas. But I don't let them stop me.

I'm Tiernay West, professional adventurer, and unlike those other kids, I don't have to worry about what I want to be when I grow up, because my career is already off to a promising start.

I've just published the first volume of my adventures, Secret of the Three Treasures, with Holiday House, with a little help from my official chronicler, Janni Lee Simner.

I plan to use this journal mostly for my favorite adventurer links and stories.
